pH Automatic Calibration

The CRIUS^® 100 online pH / ORP meter can come equipped with an automatic calibrator, making it a truly automated analyser. The pH automatic calibration module will automatically calibrate a pH or ORP sensor at user defined intervals. It does this by introducing pH 4, pH 7 and pH 10 buffers to the pH sensor in turn. The patented, highly stable sensor lasts for 2 years in most applications. If the calibration is unsuccessful then the autocalibrator will introduce the appropriate cleaning liquid to the sensor and then three molar KCl to re-condition the sensor. After a cleaning cycle which is triggered automatically the unit will attempt to re-calibrate. Any faults are recorded and an alarm is generated. The CRIUS^® 100 pH Auto-calibrator operates without any operator input for six months at a time.

The key to a successful pH meter is the quality of the pH electrode. The CRIUS^® 100 sensors have a patented polymeric electrolyte with an extremely low and stable junction potential making the pH sensor suitable for most applications, giving it an extended life and an extremely stable output in all waters.

The maintenance interval is typically only twice per year thereby keeping the operating costs of the self-calibrating pH autocalibrator very low.

Particularly useful for remote sites (with maintenance intervals at 6 months), the pH/ORP meter fitted with autocalibration is able to perform automatic calibrations with no operator present, once a week for six months and therefore has a very low total cost of ownership. This ability can drastically reduce the carbon footprint of your online pH meter. By adding the autocalibrator to remote pH/ORP meters, operators of online pH meters can save significant money and CO₂ emissions by greatly reducing the need to visit the pH analyser from perhaps once per week to once per six months.

The CRIUS^® 100 online pH / ORP meter is capable of full PID control and is equipped with process control options, datalogging, relay outputs, serial comms, (TCP, Ethernet, ModBus are available now with Profibus available soon). Remote Access of the pH and ORP meters (including remote access to all control options) is available via the internet, and via a LAN. In fact the CRIUS^® 100 has all the options you could want in a pH meter whilst maintaining a low cost and great value for money.
