Particle Counter

Particle Counters from Chemtrac measure the particle size and the particle distribution in water or other transparent liquids in the range 2-900 microns.

  • Liquid particle counter for particle size distribution
  • Measures waterborne particles down to 2 Micron
  • Optimise cryptosporidia and giardia removal
  • Monitor filter performance
  • Monitor membrane performance
  • Optimise filtration
  • Optimize filtration and membrane
  • Detects both particle counts and size distribution
  • User selectable size ranges

Chemtrac's Particle Counters offer unrivalled quality and value for money!

PC2400D

The PC2400D Inline process Particle Counter combines simplicity of operation with powerful performance to set the standard for on-line laser particle counters. The particle counter is for use in water and its main use is in filtrater optimisation on potable water treatment plants where it can save large sums of money by automatically triggering a backwash based on water quality and particle counts rather than on pressure drop or time.

PC2400D (2 - 900µm)

  • External sensor (Electrical/Water separation)
  • Eight user selectable channels
  • Sapphire optical window (Scratch proof)
  • Exceptional accuracy and reliability
  • Tracware software for real-time data representation
  • Online particle counter

It can also be used as a particle size analyser in the stream and condensate cycle on a power station where it is used to monitor corrosion event products.

PC2400PS

The PC 2400PS is a portable particle counter. It can be used in the same mode as the PC2400D which makes it an ideal particle counter for optimization and research on a treatment plant. It is often used in the fight against cryptosporidia and giardia. It can also be used for testing samples that have been taken from water supplies in a ‘grab sample’ offline particulate counting mode. It is often used to perform particle size measurement for membrane filter plants and reverse osmosis plants.
